Super Aaron! Looks like a nice truck and if you got a great trade, in addition to having a NEW truck in driveway today, you have done well, glad you're enjoying :)
On a side note, I just received confirmation my truck shipped yesterday (3/5) and expected delivery date of 3/20 but no champagne...
It's a beauty, I really like the color and I saw a Limited at local dealer yesterday with the AMB for the first time, exciting for you!! ... how does the undercarriage look?
It's really simple ... proper material selection or appropriate surface preparation and coating = no rust. Ford made a choice in their design and failed to hold paint shop accountable for defect at delivery.
The Ford Tracker is jacked up. As of now I have no confidence in any dates it displays and wish I never knew about it ... confirms the bad behavior Ford is exhibiting to its customers.
Very much a personal choice but you are spending a lot of $$ for this truck. I'm not anal but expect a surfaces that is defined to be paint be painted under the vehicle just like I expect no dents or scratches on the doors and the windows to go up and down, etc.. This is not hard for the Dealer...
I have been very outspoken about delivering a product which is pristine but it's really about individuals expectations. Your have laid out a plan that's solid and what I have told my dealer to expect. The only thing I would add is to have the Dealer take pictures upon delivery from the trucking...
Following the other posts enlightens the content. Upon delivery at the Dealer some individuals, such as myself, struggle with receiving a NEW vehicle (spending $30K to $80K) which has rust on the undercarriage. I'll manage my own rust after purchase.
Received a check box in "Scheduled for Production" and a four day slip in Dealer ETA to 20-Mar-21 .... "stay tuned for the rest of the story" ... ref. Paul Harvey.
I agree 100% but I don't tweet or do any social media besides this forum. IMHO, I would suggest Dawn consults with the Engineering Organization for clarity, it obvious she isn't an Engineer. In addition, she needs to take a leadership course 101 to understand how valuable the Ford "Brand" is to...
My position is NO rust is permissible at delivery. If it is a rust stain (surface film from crappy wet/ gravel roads) and washes off that might be permissible with touch up. It should be addressed by dealer before delivery to customer and noted as a defect upon delivery from Ford. I have told my...
That's progress!!! That must be a step in the delivery process. I now have different ETAs between the "Ford Vehicle Order Tracker" and the Forum tracker (i.e. F-150 Order Tracker Tool). Of course, a slip but Dealer sent me his data and it has held firm at an "ETA End Date" of 16-Mar-21...
That is what occurred for my truck and is what I'm suggesting. Is your 2/9 the production date or blend date? Is 2/9 the date that was populated above "Scheduled for Prod." The sticker date moved around until this date. Did you have any additional items such as bed liner etc.? We must remember...
Another viewpoint based on my observation of my build:
I believe they generate a blend date based on having all the "parts or kit" available to produce. I had a blend date of 12-Feb-21 and that has never changed since I had a build week established.
It moves (fills in dot) to "Schedule for...
Good news! My Blend date was a day later (2/12) and didn't have spray-in bedliner but I had flat seats. Interestingly, I haven't see an update to tracker for weeks and dealer latest update was on 2/4. This Ford tracker thing is puzzling.
