It would work if fingerprinting worked on the F150, but it doesn't yet. Your Maverick will be recognized but you have to hard-code the F150, which means you would have to do a little SSH work every time you wanted to move it back and forth. Once we get the fingerprinting for F150 figured out...
I put OP in dash cam mode and used BC to drive to the airport today in order to log some data to help with tuning and decoding. I’m not sure I can do that again. Holy cow it was so frustrating going back to Ford’s garbage software after only one week with something that works like it should. I...
I can't remember if I posted it in this forum or another one earlier today, so I'll put it here just in case it was elsewhere. While studying to tune the longitudinal controls in OP, I learned that OEM radars have trouble detecting objects that are not moving, which is what causes you to run up...
There is a toggle in the menu to turn it off, but no power button. If you want to kill power you have to unplug it.
I don't use automatic speed sign recognition, but the sign on the IPC is always updating with the correct speed it read, so it should work.
With LONG turned off in OP the speed...
BLIS already works, that is just a discrete signal. The radar on the Sync4 systems uses a different data structure than the Sync3 and it is still being decoded.
Follow distance is being performed by the Ford stock ACC, the OpenPilot longitudinal controls still need a lot of tweaking for the F150. Also OP can't use the Ford radar yet, so it is relying on the vision system to detect the car in front of you.
I have literally never turned on the Ford...
For anyone living in warm climates you probably need to take the 3X out of the windshield if the vehicle is sitting out in the sun. Mine had an overheat message after sitting in the truck for a few hours after lunch Sunday. It was only 95 that day.
My truck is very insistent that I have an update I need to do. Can anyone tell me
what it is? Now that I’m testing OpenPilot I’m wary of installing updates.

B.S. in chemical engineering, listened in control systems engineering. Im 20 years in and wouldn’t change a thing. The work is interesting and high demand, and can have a lot of diversity. Money aint everything but there is plenty to be had in DCS engineering. i know a guy who just moved to...
my interpretation of the Discord discussion was there are a ton of IDs on the F150s and it was going to be a large effort to merge them, so they wanted us hardcoding them until the F150 was closer to being “supported”. That probably means getting the radar working and finding the maximum safe...
OP Requires ACC and Lane Centering. If you have lance centering you are good to go, if you only have lane keeping, it might be possible to change some bits in forscan and turn it into lane centering. Happy to take a look and see if we can get it to work on your XLT, shoot me a DM and we can...
I am going to recommend everyone start with:
installer.comma.ai/commaai/ford-comfort
Ford does steering completely different than every other manufacturer (who would have guessed) and this branch is tailored to that. Much less twitchy of a steering wheel using that branch.
BlueCruise is now an option on a 2024 XLT, this drastically lowers the entrance cost into L2 ADAS. An XLT with OP would be a killer price for the functionality.
I deleted the link to that one because the right angle doesn't fit inside the Comma3X, it's a really tiny hole and I'm still trying different cables and adapters to find something that fits. I'm on about the 5th try so far.
