I didn't... I ended finding a set (5) of Raptor Wheels. I threw on 285/75r17 Nokian Outpost AT tires. Zero rub (minus my reservoir hose that I zip tied out of the way) — I could easily have gone up to 315 in terms of fender and wheel well clearance, but I would prob be sitting VERY close (maybe...
Hey there!
My fox 2.5 shock on the rear passenger rear is practically seized up, getting noticably worse by the day. Moves about 2 inches. I need to send it in, but still need my truck in the meantime. Can I throw on my stock FX4 shocks in the interim?
My ride height from center of wheel to...
Thanks man!! I'm jazzed. The wheels do look cool. They're a little more exposed than the 0+ Shoks, so trail rash will definitely be more of an issue. But I'm stoked overall. Now I just have to find another thing to occupy my attention while the wife watches her trashy reality TV... hehe.
Hey-hey...
It's been a while since I updated this thread, and I have some serious updates:
- Installed a Four Wheel Camper Project-M
- Upgraded rear leaf pack w/ two extra leafs, and reshaped OEM 2nd – this also allowed me to remove the OEM 1" block
- Replaced the 18" Fuel Shok wheels w/ '23...
Selling my Fuel Shok wheels, black.
6x135 bolt pattern.
18" x 9"
+0 Offset
29lbs/wheel
Set of 4.
They have some trail rash, but overall in great condition. They are less than 2 years old.
These wheels are BA – for those that don't know, they have bead grip (similar to Methods), which allows...
Chatting w/ @Hotshot Offroad it, sounds like this pack will fit. BUT this particular pack that I mention here will not get the lift/load carrying capacity I'm looking for. Those guys at Hotshot are SUPER knowledgable and helpful, and honestly, went above and beyond to help me out...
Hi there,
Thanks for the write-up.
I just installed a FWC Project-M on my 21 SuperCrew 3.5eb — pretty much the same but as your tremor. I have fox 2.5 on all 4 corners and SPC up arms. I added a 1.5 own factor ad-a-leaf long before the install to help with an Smart cap and Alu-Cab RTT, plus a...
Hey guys!
Bought a Four Wheel Camper Project - M and that combined with an electric motorcycle mounted on a hitch rack and gallons upon gallons of water means I'm officially sagging.
I added a 1.5" ad-a-leaf that obviously helps, but the 2nd leaf is separating from the pack, so clearly this...
Hey man, in full transparency, I don't think the SmartCap is worth the money. There are some really cool features that I like a lot (the reverse air pressure) and the the full, side hatch doors. If you live in the cold, where it freezes (rain or snow), the locks freeze, unless you install the...
Absolutely air down. I routinely air down to mid-20s for rocky and washboard roads... My Taco liked 25psi w/ BFG Ko2s. My F150 likes 22psi w/ Toyo AT2s. I've never popped a beed and have been running dirt roads like this for 20+ years.
Gotcha. W/ 0 offset on my 275/70r18, I have no rubbing, unless aired way down and fully flexed. 285/75r17s are only 1/2" or so taller and a 1/4" wider than what I'm running now, so yeah, I'd expect you to be in the clear by a good margain.
I have my sights pretty set on going for the 285/75r18...
Okay, here's the deal:
When I bought the truck, the dealership installed 0 offset wheels w/ 285/75r18 ridge grapplers. I had them also install Fox 2.5s and a rear ad-a-leaf – in theory they should have been fine, but they RUBBED horribly. Anyway, at the time, the quick and easy solution was to...
Thanks for all the replies. This isn't a big deal when it's dry out — totally fine stopping, putting it in N, and then switching it out if 4h.
Im just a bit concerned for winter when the roads get shitty and I have to switch in and out of 4H going over mountain passes on I-70 in Colorado. This...
Hey there! I have an RSI SmartCap EVOSport for a 5.5' bed. I picked it up last fall, then a month ago, was presented w/ a good deal to buy a Four Wheel Camper Project-M, which I am picking up in two weeks. The RSI is an amazing truck cap – super stout and the wing doors are simply amazing...
Okay, well I never got around to plugging in my ForScan, but I did take the truck to a different dealership after having this warning appear again. Of course, they couldn't get it to flash the warning – I did take a photo of the warning and show them. They ran it and provided a very detailed...
Thanks! No, no check engine lights, or anything that stays on. Just a notice that comes up.
I'll check forscan in the coming days and see if I have any thrown codes.
