I have the window sticker guys. There is no mention of blue cruise on it and I only have “assist.” The articles I read made it seem like that didn’t matter and it was still an upgrade.
Same. I just think it would be cool to play with the technology.
Is it true that Blue Cruise can be purchased even on models that don't have Blue Cruise listed on the sticker? I'm taking delivery on my Lariat Powerboost tomorrow, but I don't have BC on the sticker. Heard they were going to make it available though. Anyone heard?
My order was actually incorrectly input, I had to buy one off a lot when my custom showed up with the wrong bed. The “substitute” is being transported to me today (bought it last week). 6.5’ Box PB 4x4 with Max Tow.
The reality is that I threw out 2500 pounds not really calculating...
I don’t have my truck yet so I can’t check the pillar, just throwing out numbers. I suppose I confused GVWR in this situation because I was discussing rake. I’m aware that the tires have a weight limit and that the payload isnt the GVWR, thanks for pointing that out. I’ll figure it all out...
Thanks for the input. Fair point on the long bed, I will consider that when evaluating the overall look before I replace the suspension.
I won’t offroad a ton but it is something I like to do, I chose the 6112s because they’re a nice upgrade with a boost to the leveling. Not a fan of pucks...
I’m sorry but isn’t 2500 pounds basically nothing for a truck with a 14,000 pound GVWR? Max Tow is much more than I need, and my loads are short trips from one place to another, unload, pickup, etc. I don’t want to *completely* remove the rake but I still want a virtually level stance.
I searched everywhere and couldn't find this specific topic. I ended up buying a 6.5' PB with Max Tow. I don't need the package and don't want the package but had to have this truck. I'm going to level (or at least bring the nose up a bit). I'm curious though, what actually makes the rake...
You're describing something that occurs in literally every industry though. Ask anyone in sales or ground-level service what they think of the marketing team and engineering team above them. The marketing and engineering folks NEVER listen to the people on the ground. It happens in medicine...
In fairness, dealers would be confused whether Ford sent letters or not. Mechanics aren't studying this stuff like we are, they have oil changes, exhaust leaks, tire rotations, and spark plug swaps to worry about across a variety of models. If you were making ASE mechanic pay at a Ford car...
You’re citing a major outlier of a company. They’re patching phones and security issues. Ford is patching a 7,000 machine that drives down the road. Not the same risk profile in the slightest.
