As others have said, the scratches are relatively easy to remove if you're careful but it's soft glossy plastic, they *will* come back especially if you use a contact-type car wash 😭 it's unfortunately just a "feature" of the truck!
On the GEN 12 & 13 models you could access "diagnostic mode" on the display by holding the OK button on the wheel while turning ignition on, as described here. One of the features was scaling the MPG indicator - could be used to make it more accurately reflect measured MPG.
I'm still waiting...
I'm hopeful, since my Jan 29/Feb 1 Powerboost would be in this group, but I'm thinking more likely sloppy reporting and what they meant was that using the Powerboost trucks as generators is unaffected by this issue?
This article Detroit Free Press says Powerboost is not affected - which doesn't really make any sense to me - Powerboost has same cab/windshield structure as other F150s. Can anyone verify?
I just have the mat for the flat portion of the bed - the sides wouldn't serve any purpose since I have the spray-in liner. This is just to provide protection for delicate cargo - and my knees!
Weighs very little - its some sort of foam with polypro tufted material bonded to it - according to...
I went for spray-in bedliner - although the bed is aluminum and wouldn't rust, I would hate to look at a scratched up bed over time and use *but* I teamed that with a BedRug Bedmat - cheapish and takes seconds to remove if I want to transport something messy, but there to protect my knees or MTB...
I think if you're worried and since you obviously don't "flip" through vehicles quickly, you'd be better to wait until 2021 model year. Current trucks w/chance of launch issues are for "early adopters" who want the latest. Keep an eye on this forum and any issues (that don't get straightened out...
Roger, I haul an enclosed trailer w/Mustang racecar (see avatar 😀) upper & lower front cabinets and tools at front, fuel jugs, cooler, tire racks w/8 wheels & tires etc. Total weight ~ 8000lbs. It's an aluminum trailer which makes a difference, but tongue weight is ~ 900lbs. No problem pulling...
That's an interesting dealer site ... weird though, check out these two loaded Platinum trucks payload: Red @ 1316lbs vs Silver @ 1262lbs
Only difference is the Partitioned Lockable Storage & Paint Color? Difficult to believe the plastic storage bin weighs 54lbs ...
IMHO you are definitely pushing the envelope - I'd be most concerned about what the real tongue weight of the that trailer would be, loaded w/fluids etc. Based on some experience I think you could easily be much heavier at the hitch than the manufacturer states. I'd also consider whether I was...
Looking at video, the partitioned storage is easily removeable *but* leaves some holes in the carpet with (very much 😬 not dog friendly) threaded bolts. So, if you have partitioned storage and want a nice flat floor for your dogs, probably better dropping a dog bed on top of what is there - or...
Not sure if this is what you were asking but I think the motor (or generator under regen) is clutched in/out of engagement, so the regen force is controlled by whether its engaged or not, the drivetrain drag would in all other ways be like a normal vehicle.
OK, with a VIN# 1FTFW1ED0MFA85659 and Blend Date of Jan 29 I'm sneaking into this club ... and ... like others my truck seems to be in Spray-In-Bedliner purgatory. Albert told me today its been "Released to Body Company" which I'm guessing is the Bedliner? I do not understand why a simple...
I've used various solutions to access ignition-switched 12v/ground from (i) my least favorite solution of "vampire taps" (ugh), (ii) anticipated 2021 solution will be Blendmount or similar harness that takes RJ-11 to pins thin enough to slide into rear view mirror plug, or (iii) my 2016 F150...
Current / previous vehicles I've hardwired radar detector, but other obvious issue is no 12v plug for radar detector etc. Bit of a miss by Ford's design team.
Yes, I'd come across the same Reliance X series - I was really looking for something that allowed the F150 to power my whole house and not a sub-panel. Interlock switch on my main panel is an idea but I'm not sure if that isolates the live + neutral or just the live wire ...
OK, see my post over on this thread F150 = Bonded Neutral
How did you get around the issue w/F150 ProPower and House both having bonded neutral? Seemed like that was your initial problem? Would be really helpful to know the right work-around!
