Has anyone ordered a Platinum with the CARMELO interior - and actually has a build date / VIN? None of the dealers close to me have that interior on their Platinums. I wonder if that's a hold up?

I ordered mine in September. Platinum, hybrid, 4x4, moonroof - nothing else. Still no VIN or build. Emailed my dealer requesting they re-prioritize my order (apparently, it's currently code 015). No idea what's going on.... Glad for those that have VINs.

I'm sticking it out too - hopefully the delay isn't long - it's quite a classy interior, and worth waiting for availability (if the rumors are true). That, coupled with the supposed limitation in the PB engine option, means this will unlikely be a Christmas present for me....

Exclusivity - you hit the nail on the head. You can always say the blue interior color, or the LED floor scuff plates are the upgrades - but in reality, it's just marketing & badging.
