..Looks like IronX is just detailing grade for painted surfaces; I used a product years ago for this kind of rust conversion and protection- but couldn't remember the name of it. I beleive it was this. I'll test on a small area and report back if it works as intended:
Yep- got home late last night...Drive went well -and the truck looked great. I stopped by the lot Sunday afternoon with a buddy and we were looking for your truck- but I didn't see it. Take that with a grain of salt though- cause they have a TON of Vehicles crammed onto that lot and I could...
Just picked up my F150 at Granger yesterday. All went well- truck was flawless with the exception of some underbody surface rust. Could I use something like IronX to remove the rust here and on the axle ends safely and effectively? Any recommendations?:
Yeah, I got the same email- and I'm sure you're right: Depending on volume in a given week- or issues that they may or may not have, the pre-delivery inspection can go pretty quickly. Mine arrived on a Friday- and was ready the following Monday...Not sure how the weekend factors in- but I...
I do think they occasionally do deliveries the first half of the day on Saturday's as well- but not sure what circumstances dictate them sharing that info....
LOL. Well, here's hoping- I know they turned my PDI around in less than 24 hours so there's still time. We'll be driving up Sunday to pick up Monday at 9 am to make the 9.5 drive home!
There can't be too many Antimatter PB Platty's floating around up there- so I'll keep an eye out!
I’ll think you should be in good shape for that- times seem to have gotten better this year (famous last words, right?). But most orders that I’ve tracked from Dearborn headed to Granger didn’t sit in KC longer than 2 weeks. If you can get on that train out of town, it seems like 3-4 weeks from...
Most likely rail- Norfolk Southern or similar. Mine took 4-5 days once the trip started, sat in KC at the Voltz rail yard for a week or so and then made the 3 hour trip to Granger on a truck from there.
