Actually this report tells me his 5w30 has thinned down to a 5w20 at best and has increased potential for shear.

A simple WIX 49883 @ 14,362 miles.

I’m running the 5.0 and it rarely sees above 4k rpm and occasional 7-8k towing. However, a lot of stop and go traffic, so was debating the 5w40 myself. I just cannot justify Amsoil, I’d still change between 3-5k, so not worth it.

I’m a habitual changer too, 3-5k tops. Debating the QSFS Euro 5w40?

I used to be to loyal M1 and their filters. Swapped to QSFS with Champ PH500XL filters. Truck is quiet now.

I'm a staunch believer that a truck is a truck. IMO ,anything over a 302A is an unnecessary luxury and a waste of money. To each their own, but I'll take a new XLT over a used Lariat with those miles.
