Well, my last truck nuked an oil seal in one of the turbo's on the first day I had it after I put my foot all the way down.
I'm going to let this one get a few miles on it before I really wring it out.
I'll be the one to ask...did you really take a picture running 106MPH?
I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with...taking a pic while running over 100MPH or that the truck is only running 2600 RPM's while doing it.
I just got my Powerboost yesterday and I haven't rolled over 100 miles...
Oof...expensive day....but a fun one.
Got everything signed and I've drove it home. Well...I had to make a few stops and give a few rides to a few family members first. :)
Initial thoughts, in no particular order:
Its quiet...ridiculously quiet.
It really is a torque-y monster. This...
And for those curious....
The ETA went from 10/31 to 7/22...then last weekend it jumped to 8/3 and that's what it showed up until sometime this afternoon. Now it shows 8/25! That is from the offical Ford tracking page.
Pallsapp updated to show it was in the system about the same time the ETA...
Well....started to give up hope. ETA was pushed back from 7/22 to 8/3.
But then this evening...I checked Palsapp.
Me thinks I'll be paying my dealer an in-person visit tomorrow... I likely won't be driving it back home tomororw...but a picture may be coming soon.
It does say convoy.
I did speak to my dealer last Thursday and they said they showed "Any day between the 16th (last Friday) and the 22nd. (this Thursday) So if something did happen to suddenly jam the truck back two week...heck if I know.
It should be going via truck. It's less than a 6 hour drive, so I can't really see it getting railed here.
It still shows built and awaiting shipment...so unless they really can't find drivers for two weeks...dunno.
It shouldn't take 5 days to transport it from Dearborn to my dealer. It's less than 6 hours away via a truck. I can't see them loading it onto a railcar for that. Maybe it will take up to 5 days to secure the truck to make the delivery...
When I spoke to my dealer last Thursday, they said...
Technically, I was supposed to be a 4/26 build. My original blend date was 4/11 and then they stopped for two weeks in April. My truck should have been built sometime on or after they restarted Dearborn on 4/26. So that's when I started posting in this thread.
Then Ford jumped the gun and...
Ford tracker updated again. Same ETA, but the rest of the picture has now filled in.
Palsapp portal has also updated this evening. It still shows it as pending, but everything else is now filled in correctly.
Anyone know what the meaning is behind "Transit Date" is?
Seeing "Awaiting Shipment" does make a bit more hopeful that its getting closer to being delivered. All the other trackers still say its still in production.
