  1. F-150 Lightning = Confirmed Name of the F-150 Electric Pickup!

I'm with you on the range issue. With regard to temperature, Tesla is the best-selling car in Norway, so I think they should be OK there (but probably with some drop in range).
  2. Rust on rear end of 2021 F-150 -- any others?

I agree. After months of planning my F-150, I just placed an order for a RAM Limited. It wasn't just the rust and other problems, it was the complete lack of concern that Ford displayed towards its customers. I finally decided I didn't want to give them my money.
  3. F-150 Lightning = Confirmed Name of the F-150 Electric Pickup!

I hope they prioritize range while towing. Most current EVs get about half their stated range while towing, which would make this a non-starter.
  4. Rust on rear end of 2021 F-150 -- any others?

Interesting - I'm not seeing many reports of that over on the Ram forum. I'v been monitoring both forums closely to get an idea of the problems with each vehicle.
  5. Let’s see your 2021+ long-bed Supercrews (157” wheelbase)

It also depends on what you're towing. For me, gooseneck horse trailer is barely manageable with a 6'4" bed and impossible with the short bed.
  6. PB Trailer Tow Package VS Max Tow Payload

It depends on the trailer. I have a lightweight European one that weighs 2100 lbs and has a tongue weight of 150lbs. Others at our barn are heavier, and have tongue weights of around 400 lbs.
  7. My Interview With Ford F-150 Engineers - Summary

It has to be an internal issue - it's not a federal safety standard. Other vehicles, such as Tesla, don't have this restriction.
  8. PB Trailer Tow Package VS Max Tow Payload

For some of us (I pull a horse trailer), the weight is all in the trailer and payload is unimportant. What's important is being able to tow as much as possible.
  9. Rust on rear end of 2021 F-150 -- any others?

Ah, OK. You responded to me and quoted my reply by mistake. Easy to do! :)
  10. Rust on rear end of 2021 F-150 -- any others?

Huh? I'm saying it's NOT OK, and that Ford's reaction is one of the main reasons I'm considering not getting the F-150 I'd been planning on ordering. And no, I don't work for Ford.
  11. Rust on rear end of 2021 F-150 -- any others?

I've been waiting to order my truck for months, but this is one of the major reasons I'm seriously considering getting a Ram instead.
  12. Ford Launches VIN Specific Calculator! See your F-150's exact payload, GVWR, GCWR, and more!

It's still very useful for those of us who don't have a lot of payload in the truck. For example, I pull a horse trailer and usually drive alone. All the weight is in the trailer, so payload isn't as much of an issue for me as towing capacity.
  13. Trailer towing issues

Has anyone else experienced the alarm going off when the truck is locked with the trailer still attached? This is a dealbreaker for me if it happens to everyone. I tie my horses to the trailer and lock my truck, then work out of the trailer. If the alarm goes off it will scare the crap out of...
  14. What's missing from 2021 F-150?

    I'd like a multifunction tailgate.
  15. Ford Invites 2021 F-150 Owners to Virtual Interview with Engineers - What Questions, Feedback, Complaints Do You Have?

For those of us towing livestock, it's important to be able to look through the front windows of the trailer to make sure they're OK. I also mount a camera inside my trailer, connected to the main screen, and I need to be able to check it periodically.
  16. Chris Farley made me laugh. Jim Farley made me cry.

All of you saying "it's not just Ford" seem to have missed the fact that the OP ordered in September! People who ordered much later have received their trucks. And the chip shortages were not an issue until the last couple of months. There's no excuse for making a customer wait this long.
  17. 🛻 F-150 LARIAT Lounge 🪢

Love that burgundy color! Wish it was still offered.
  18. Rust on rear end of 2021 F-150 -- any others?

Many of us don't WANT to do DIY oil changes, rust treatment or anything else. And we don't WANT to spend $70k+ on a truck that has more rust than trucks many years older. You can fix it easily and are happy to do so? Good for you. The rest of us want our new trucks to look new.
  19. It’s a truck after all!

I'll be towing a horse trailer once or twice a month with mine. Other than that, it'll be a daily driver, picking up horse feed, bulk shavings, etc.
