  1. 3.0 Power Stroke

The timing belt is a non issue according to Ford as their trucks requires very very little effort to lift the cabin from the frame to access the engine. I had the same concern when I bought my 18’ 3.0. As for the fuel tank, you can get a Titan 41 gallon tank. Takes less than an hour to install...
  2. (Oct 27) Report on 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

So basically week 48 the 3.0 will likely be available? Just not the work surface?
  3. (Oct 27) Report on 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

I’m confused, does this mean the diese engine constraints are now not an issue but only the work surface is? I’m okay to transplant the work surface on later.
  4. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

COVID man. COVID ruins all haha.
  5. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

Given how low of a priority the 3.0 is, it doesn’t sound unreasonable. I just can’t wait to find out as I have no vehicle right now.
  6. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

The guy I ordered through is the sales manager and is the husband of a long time friend and former coworker, so no, he isn't pulling anything out of the air or making things up. The supply constraints are real and aren't limited to Ford. Go read up on the Telluride and the issues they are...
  7. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

The Escape Hybrid for 2020 was cancelled for a similar constraint according to them. I personally know the guy I ordered through and he says the information is reliable. You are free to assume its made up, it makes absolutely no difference to me.
  8. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

Ive actually owned both, and the highway difference is not 4 mpg. Hence Ford being sued for lying about the efficiency of their EB engine across the board. Before modifying the suspension, my 3.0 averaged 28.1-30.8 on the highway. FX4 supercrew. My EB got 21 on a good day, 18.9 on most.
  9. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

Makes sense. Hopefully the power boost doesn’t see that significant of delays. And no, I’m gonna get the truck I want eventually, just not now. Gonna get a sedan for now.
  10. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

I assume the diesel isn’t the go to popular choice, hence no rush on it and the materials or parts needed for it.

Sacramento. Ask for Justin the sales manager.
  12. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

Im sure if you drop the work surface and do NOT select any late options, you'll get your truck sooner.
  13. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

If you base it off EPA numbers, sure, but I've owned both and the EcoBoost consistently got below EPA ratings while the diesel exceeds them. The difference is much bigger. Not sure where you are getting 600k miles lol. Not to mention longevity of the engine, which the diesel should outlast the EB.
  14. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

From the sound of it, both the work surface and the 3.0 diesel, but the materials for the work surface were a bigger issue according to him as its a highly ordered and popular option for the truck, as the diesel isn't that popular. I just commute 70 miles per day and needed the efficient 3.0 to...
  15. California Dealers

I got 2k under invoice for mine in Sacramento. The drive might be worth it for 2k in savings.
  16. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints

The dealer I ordered from provided an update today. He reached out to someone higher up in the company and was told that "material constraints" is pushing back production across the board. In my case, the interior work surface and Diesel engine pushed back my truck to June 2021 best case...
  17. Better long term reliability 5.0 w/ CD or PB??

I know you didn't list it as a choice, but take a good look at the 3.0 diesel. Im willing to bet it'll outlast any other engine offered on this truck, and I personally owned it in an 18' and loved it over my 16' EcoBoost.
  18. 2021+ F-150 Orders Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

I saw in other posts on here that the diesel is slated to start production 11/30 and no delays mentioned about the interior work surface. Am I to understand that this updated info means that diesel is delayed into 2021 and work surface is delayed as well? Also, any way to tell off the order...
  19. Latest 2021 F-150 Production Update and Constraints
