Dogs are amazing!Hey folks, I lost my pal Tank yesterday very suddenly. He was 6 years old and we adopted him as a surrender at 2.5 years of age and he was a great family member and looked to always keep the peace in the house. A large inoperable (and probably rare) stomach tumor took him. The vet had only seen this type of tumor once before in 20 years.
Tank loved to go for rides, and he would nudge his hanging leash with his nose to let you know it, and I'm ashamed to say I had only taken him for a single ride in my new truck. I ran him to Tractor Supply on a cool overcast day using a vinyl rear seat cover. When I came back out after about 2 minutes he was in the front passenger seat, and I thought - "Well I've got extra large ventilation holes up there now." (No holes were made but on an older Honda I had, he did puncture the thin leather seats - which is why I got the vinyl cover.) I tried to get pics of him in the truck, but with a black interior and he being so black (not just "black" but "Washington Black" for fans of the series "Psych"), the pics did not come out and I deleted them figuring "I've got time to get others - He's still very young.".
I held off on any other rides with him, because I I figured I should be smart enough to be able to think up a better riding alternative, and now that chance has passed. So much for being smart...
So for Tank - I'd appreciate it if you have any pics of your 4 legged pals and your trucks (or non-trucks) that you wouldn't mind posting.
Thanks everyone - I'm feeling a lot less than my avatar namesake for some reason now...
Very sorry to hear. Is that her pic? She's really cute.Sorry about your loss Mike, I loss my baby girl 6 years ago, she also was only 6 years old. She had bone cancer in her shoulder and leg.
me to, she used may back pack on this trip, then when i had to take her back to my grand daughter i let her take the whole seat and put the cooler in the backVery sorry to hear. Is that her pic? She's really cute.
Did she usually ride in the front? I know Tank would have loved to have ridden up front, but I'd didn't think the seat would have fit him well with the console. (He was around 110-120.)
@powerboatr had this pic which made me think of putting something in the footwell for a longer surface to lay on.
That is a face - and a long drive back without her.me to, she used may back pack on this trip, then when i had to take her back to my grand daughter i let her take the whole seat and put the cooler in the back
she is a great little dog, it killed me having her go back after 6 months
she did not want to go back, she had the lazy life at my house. the face she made in my grand daughters car as they drove away caused me to take a time out before i could drive back 10 hrs home . pits, rotties and shepards are kryptonite
Thanks and I have no idea what that cat is into.
just my grow tent to start vegetables inside lolThanks and I have no idea what that cat is into. LOL
Typically she would ride in the back. I went into the store and when I came out she was in the front seat and didn't want to get in the back.Very sorry to hear. Is that her pic? She's really cute.
