I know a lot of attention is usually being given to Ford’s 12” Productivity Screen and LED instrument clusters on the higher trim levels. As a result, not a whole lot of photos, or other useful information has come out about the 8” Center Stack and 4” Productivity Screen (between the speedometer and tachometer) on the mid and lower F-150 trim levels.

Well, I’m about to change that a bit for those interested! I’ve been browsing numerous online shopping websites for the 2021 F-150 and have complied a number of pictures showing the up close details of the XL and STX truck’s interiors particularly in regards to their 8” screen while in use and the center stack, the 4” Productivity Screen, the storage cubby console (if equipped), and the rear of the console facing the rear seat.

I figured it’s time to show these workhorses some love! I hope this helps some of you guys with mid level XLTs, STXs, and XLs on order!

That 8 in display was only available on the higher end F150s of previous generations so Ford have really stepped it up.

I prefer the smaller 8' screen-----not so "in your face" looking.
Also--the more I look at this, I am appreciating the separation
of the audio controls and the Climate control. (kind of like separation of church and state)

With the 12' screen these controls are clustered right next to each other, and may be a bit more challenging to learn the positions when just reaching for a particular control.

Kinda like--I know where the AC is in either of the trucks without even looking. Same applies to stereo, headlights, cigarette lighter----these are all separated enough that there is no mistake when reaching for a particular knob.

Yea, these 8” screens look great on the mid level trims.

Im really looking forward to the 12” screen on my build, but I agree with your points. Ford has been using a consistent button and knob layout for years and it works well. If if ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Yes! For example, say I'm watching a movie on the 12" screen while I'm driving, I don't want my wife suddenly changing to the climate screen to heat her side and interrupt my movie! Knobs for climate are way better than touch screen.

Ok, so the above is a joke regarding a movie in case that wasn't caught, but same principle applies for having a nav map up and getting interrupted to go through the climate screen.

Man! You joke, but I’m seriously wondering if the 12” screen could be used for the exact same thing! When parked, of course, so the civil lawyers don’t lose their minds, but maybe via Apple CarPlay or some sort of other hookup. Use the work surface as a dining surface, put a show on the screen, and you got a decent traveling date night!
