If you asked my wife what I think about Fords…she would quote me as saying ‘I hate Fords’ - and she would be correct. At least that’s how I used to think. While I think there could be some more user-centric configuration options, the detest I had previously barked out was more around the user interface… seat belt warnings chimes, back up beepers you have to constantly turn off when towing, but overall the Explorer has been really good, mechanically except for the sun roof leaking 2inch thick melted ice water inside and burning out the sun roof motor. Besides that, the last 60k we have put on since 2016, have not had any real issues! So the future looks bright, while I may still detest a few aspects of Fords, they seem to be doing a lot more than the competition, offering a hybrid pickup for instance!
