Rust on rear end of 2021 F-150 -- any others?

I had the pleasure of getting a pin/shank in my tire driving on I-29 from Nebraska back to Kansas today. Put my spare tire on and got the original tire fixed once I got to KC. Before I put the spare back, since I was under the truck anyway - I sprayed any surface areas. Took less than 3 minutes. Way less time than complaining. Granted, mine is a loaded Platinum and shouldn’t come like that, but now it’s done.

I am much more concerned with the corrosion and rust on all the items other than the axil.

I drive through my local dealer every Saturday morning before they open just see how much inventory is showing up. They seem to get a few F150’s every week. Had a look at the diffs today and they all looked good. Maybe Ford has addressed the issue.

Rust update. All gone. Local dealership did a fine job! Some attachment hardware appears to be changed as well. Some before and after photos.

Just went to the lot to see my truck that came in on Friday, bummed to have hit the rust. have you more had luck with the dealer or ford dealing with this?

It was a battle with ford. The dealer fixed it. Slow painful process dealing with Ford customer care! Not sure if ford helped. Had a case with a ford rep. He followed with dealer and lots of back and fourth emails.

I'm not happy with ford how they handled this and left customers to clean up a mees that should never in the 1st place! The dealer did a fine job of fixing. Some have chosen to clean themselves it might be easier! But I refuse to crawl under something I paid that much money for! That was poor Quality control it shouldn't have happened! Keep a case open and make ford do it right!

And you are still buying another Ford F-150? Why not go to another brand if you think Ford is so horrible? It's a free country, you don't have to buy a Ford.

Even if you had to sell the truck you have outright I'll bet you could get good money for it, new 2021's are hard to get.

Foolish statement - the reason I purchased this truck is because I feel that is a better product than others manufacturers have on the market.
My 2010 Lariat gave me good service without any rust new or after 10 years.... I am not liking or appreciating Fords lack of quality control or in what has transpired since I notified them of the significate rust and corrosion on my brand new 2021 Lariat.
Maybe rust as mine has is ok with others but not me, not for a 30k truck or a 65k truck. Is there anyone on this forum that would accept a a truck that looks like the photos below as brand new....REALLY! Would you accept all the new body parts, the hood, the fenders all with dents brand new... I doubt it. Ford needs to fix the issues not only mine but all others that arrived from the factory defective. See the photos at full size and then tell me to my face to accept it, really.

If if wanted a Ram or Chevy or other would have purchased one.

Actually the really bad rust on my truck is not as bad their lack of customer service or support! Just considering handing to the lawyers to deal with.

Its was so terrible!! Dealer came thru though. Happy it's all done! This was a short term buy. I do actually miss my 2016 it was a great truck!
This Powerboat isn't great lots of strange bugs. I definitely wouldn't buy another one!
I was considering dumping this one and getting a F250 lariat with blackout package Power stroke. But it's overkill for what I need!

Dealer just ordered to undercoat the truck. Would this be a fix or a bandaid?

This is exactly what my dealer is doing on April 14 2021. Is this a fox or a bandaid? Dealer “Said” it’s similar to the bed liner stuff. The manager of my dealership said “it the rust won’t hurt anything and the bolts rusted are just as strong. Lol this whole thing is a joke!!! Said it’s only appearance issues. So good to spray the axel and leave it at that. I’m DEFINITELY NOT HAPPY AND HOPE FORD DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!
