Also ran the tank to nearly E I had 20 miles to empty went to fill up and couldn’t get 32 gal in the tank. It stopped just before that. So kinda confused on the whole 36 gal tank unless there are 2-3 gals on reserve or something.
Hmmm
I was showing 94mi to empty and just under 1/4 tank on the gauge.

I knew a guy with an Expedition years ago. Drove that car for what seemed forever on an empty tank and showing zero miles left. I am not that bold. That 1/4 tank level is something I don’t push.
I’ve been in the habit of filling up on Friday or Saturday mornings while on my coffee run. Don’t have to be so timely now, if I don’t get it this week, I’ll still be over a 1/4 by next weekend.

Had a ‘17 with the 5.0 but there have been some changes since that model year. Just wondering if people are happy with their 5.0 and what made you pick that option? Thanks.
I realy enjoy my 5.0 and the sound when you press on it is amazing, love it it is my 5th 5.0 since my first one,

Huh Oh!! Darn!!

This thing is too much fun to drive!!. I sure love this truck! RCSB 5.0 FX4 3.73 Gears. 9.75 in. Rear axle.
I got it Feb. 23, after waiting 5 months to get it. Approx 700 miles on it. started out around; 18.5 MPG, down to 15.2 lately driving close in town, not much freeway.
Normal mode .
I need to try the ECO mode to see what the mileage is next...
Regards, Zale Alamo City. :)

With that reg cab, short bed... the 5.0 must toss it around like a rag doll.
Sounds fun indeed. Looking forward to it.
Thanks for all the great feedback on here. I had the 3.5L w/ 3.55 in my 2014 and it pulled like a mule. I struggled with what to order for my 2021. I chose the 5.0 and 3.73 with max tow and FX4. My gut said "get back to the V8". After reading all the comments on this thread I feel good about my decision. Now all I can do is sit back and wait.... 1 month and counting.. Can't wait for that sound!

Picked up my '21 XLT 5.0 about a month ago and super stoked on it so far. Got about 4,000 km on it and no issues whatsoever. I had a '17 2.7L (130,000km), loved it as well, no problems except some minor recalls and the weak engine sound. The 5.0 really sings around 3-4k rpm going up a hill, i just love how you can feel he engine working.

What is a kilometer?? Are you guys still owned by the British?? haha
We Brit's still use miles but fill up in ltrs. Equivalent of $1.72 per ltr does not sound as bad as $ 7.65 per gallon. At least it is a UK gallon. Being old school work out fuel consumption in MPG, ltrs per 100km mean nothing. Fuel economy probably in single figures with my Shelby SVT, I work on smiles per mile.

im happy with my 5.0, I do have one concern with mine, there is a howling sound at full throttle, like the engine is sucking too much air from the intake, it sounds like if i have a cold air intake, my 2016 F150 5.0 didnt have that sound.

This 5.0 is the only way to go! Fuel mileage is 21- 22 on the highway @ 74 mph. 3.31 in the rear, electronic locking. In the city it gets 18 light footed, but if a Ram or a Silverradoo pull up they see my tailgate. I had a 5.4 trident in a short bed, this one outs accelerated & better mileage.
