Just picked it up.

Big thank you to people who post here. You all helped me to buy what I wanted and get a great deal.

Time to start the modifications.

Just picked up a Lariat PowerBoost 502A in Carbonized Grey yesterday. Already have 108 mi on the tach. Can't wait to see your mods! My plans:
2" or 2.25" level
34" or 35" Nitto tire
Small increase in the offset
Tonneau cover

I plan to do similar level and tires. Doing LineX bed liner next week with retractable cover after.

Which Nitto tire? I am looking for my truck (may need to order) and want to use a "p" tire for weight/mpg - Nitto Terra G2 comes in a 295/70R18 (>34") or a 275/55R20 (>34") or 305/55R20 (>33") are the options I am thinking about - key is which wheel package to get - finding few with the sport 18" in stock

love your truck and anticipate your upgrade pics!

The 2" Readylift allows for up to a 295/60-20 tire on a 9” wide wheel with +18 offset. Nitto makes a Ridge Grappler in that size. I plan to use the stock wheels.

Small mod completed, red tow hooks. I really like the looks of the red tow hooks on the GMC AT4. So I wanted to install them on my F150.

I had planned to remove the hooks and have them enameled, but it began to look like a very invasive procedure. So I went low tech. I sanded the hell out the hooks and then cleaned with acetone.

I next pulled back and taped down the rubber grommets on the hooks to expose as much hook as possible. Then I masked the crap out of everything.

I then attempted to use an air gun but it did not work. So I got some rattle can enamel (Rustoleum) and did it. I did multiple light coats to prevent drips or runs. Since I was able to paint the hooks behind what is covered by the rubber grommet, it came out very clean looking.

I figure if this does not hold up I will have them removed and done properly. This is a mod that is purely for looks so I am pleased with the out come.

Thought I would share in case anyone else likes red tow hooks.
