I agree. Planning on keeping my 23 for a while because I don’t like the future styling Ford is going towards
i'm not going to lie.. i would have ordered a 2020 year model knowing it would've costed thousands of dollars less than my 2022. I would be happy with either or though.

I keep my rides to about 15 year mark before selling and upgrading. This is the first vehicle I'm buying factory new. I was hoping to celebrate it by driving the newest model for at least 3-4 years, oh well...
I'm in the same boat. Around the 10-14 year mark. This is why it makes sense to wait for the 2024 refresh if the infotainment system is going to receive a substantial update. It'll essentially be a generation newer which is a 2-4 year chunk. That's potentially a third of the life of the vehicle that it would be the newest tech.

I remember reading somewhere that the Sync 4 system redesign will be moving away from the Blackberry QNX OS they currently use and going with Android and could be installed in the '23 year models.

Found the article on it.

My wishlist would be Sync5 Android Automotive horizontal screen like the '24 Mustang. Dual exhaust optional on 5.0. Rear sliding glass like Tundra. Barn tailgate like Ram. Bumper steps like GM. HUD like F-250. More rear suspension options besides leaf springs.

Finally looks like a lower trim with projector headlights. Maybe they are going all projector headlights?

It's a test mule, they'll throw on parts that need to be tested, but doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how it is going to be built in its sell-able form

It is possible, but unlikely IMO

Sounds like a nice little mod to do to our MY 21-23s
My back also welcomes this mod. Me thinks something along the lines of the Tremor bumper replacement ? Anything that makes getting easier in bed is always great.
