I qualified for X-Plan, so I could have gotten that locally, but not sure I would have done any better than that in DFW. My whole decision was based on finding those fairly useless and toothless lifetime powertrain warranties, and making sure it was one that didn't require service at the selling dealer. I figured on a brand new model, price was going to be fairly consistent across the board, $500 - $1000 under invoice, anywhere you go, so I wanted something that differentiated that deal, and the free warranty was what I focused on. It may never save me any money, but it's there for free, and I still got the truck for the same price I would have gotten it for without the free warranty. I didn't ever talk money with local dealers. I did get an offer for $500 under invoice from a dealer in Houston, but they didn't have the warranty. That's just how I approached it. I'm happy with the deal I got, and don't mind taking a road trip to go get my truck.Great info Roger350. I’m over here in Grapevine and am leery of pretty much any dealer in the Metroplex.
