5/23 again? Why not just schedule more this passed 5/6?
I think that's the plan, didn't seem like a lot of orders were scheduled yesterday relative to last week, I wonder if Ford is spreading things out a bit so there's scheduling every week as opposed to every other...

I thought I read somewhere that the current Ford backlog, across the fleet, was 50K vehicles yet Ford produced 50K F-150s in March. Not saying those were delivered .... many may be produced but on chip hold, parked somewhere getting rusty. Tough to know what is REALLY going on with orders versus delivery and the resulting REAL issue ... order churn and fulfillment.
Not disagreeing, just think Ford will build as many trucks as possible.

They will not cut off new order receipts unless they have enough orders to keep plants at full capacity until the 23 order banks open.

For what it’s worth, my order was (after 3 postponements) moved forward from 5/23 to 5/16. I guess they were conservative in their planning and now are able to fill some slots that are now vacant after tightening the earlier conservative approach.

Yeah a 5/23 build week scheduled on 5/9 is either because they’ve been scheduling conservatively recently or have confirmed deliveries of missing components. Regardless, great whoever gets picked this week coming! Me Me Me!

It might have something to do with the Forced Delete of standard features and options on Monday. Every order left without a VIN should be clean for that one minute on Monday.

What do you mean, “clean”? I’m hoping my order gets scheduled. 2/19 confirmation and no news since.

Also seemed to be more higher Spec trucks.

Clean means there are no commodities preventing your truck from being built.
Good Luck

That’s what mine supposedly is. Yet to receive a vin.

Schedule half as many twice as often to make it look better? Regardless, fingers crossed I get picked this week.

Reality of working with corporate people for over a decade has me pretty jaded.

Regardless.

I have little doubt there’s a Ford marketing white board that maybe made its way to the C suite glass wall for the nice smelling dry erase markers that goes something like this:

1. Schedule less trucks per week so we can schedule every week.

2. ?????

3. Profit!

Edit: Forgot to mention the part where some new opportunistic VP suggests instead of spending so much on marketing, they spend the money on trying to shore up supply lines and gets laughed out of the room.
