Anyone else have their truck come with these? Mine are defective and won’t slide in to the anchor points. I even went as far as taking the anchor point off and try it free hand, and no go. Covered under warranty maybe?

I don't think they are defective, but they are a pain to get in. You have to have them exactly square and flat. Then they will walk in.

On my 2016 - I initially thought the same but played around & got them in. Agree, they are a pain to get in.

Theres likely nothing wrong with them. I have them on my 2020 and they definitely needed some finesse and muscle to get them in. ? ? ?
Now put the base back on and use some elbow grease!

I have these on my 16, and it was never like this. I tried for over and hour with brute force at times to get those in.

Don’t those go in vertically and then turned horizontal?
Thought I saw something to that effect in the online owners manual, or the one I downloaded to my pc.

I had a hard time getting them in and took it to the dealer. The service manager thought he could get them in and after much effort got one in. He gave up on the others and took it back to the service department and they apparently had a struggle but got them in.

I had already installed the decked system when I put mine in, I just touched them a little with a file and they went better. Still really snug but they would not go on before that.

Installed the box tie downs today and from what I remember on my previous truck they were about the same as my 2020. When I tried to slide them straight up they don’t budge or move at all. But the trick was to turn them 90* to slide them into the slot then go from there using the leverage to work it up. This may not work for everyone but I took a video of one of them to illustrate.

Great video, I remember having an issue with one of them but when I turned the key one direction to make sure it was unlocked I think it was, it went right in. I also had a rubber headed hammer made it much easier.

Rubber hammer is how I got them to go. They where really tight.

I was afraid the dealer spray-in bed liner was preventing the tie down from sliding. I took off one bracket to confirm the tie down was too tight. I resolved the issue with a rubber mallet.
