Plastidip fellas. Did it myself. You can get it at Menards.

I like the option to peel it off to put the wheels back to stock if I decide to sell. Wheels and tools are the the only things I’ll use the stuff for, but it looks good and holds up great with good prep work.

Just make sure you pull the wheels and hand wash them, mask properly, and the lay on a lot of thin layers with minimum 30 minutes between coats and I think you’ll be impressed with the results.

Worst case scenario you don’t like it... Just peel it off!

Looks much better. Is that just the standard black or Metalizer black?

Cool, my son did the same on his auto and his wife's Audi. I seen it 1st hand and was impressed + the overall durability of the product.

Just the standard black. I had some glossifier as well but ended up not using it because I thought the matte finish matches the grille, running boards, etc. better.

BTW, I also have a history with Audi’s. These are my two previous B7’s.
Yeah this is probably the 3rd or 4th set of stock wheels I’ve dipped. As long as you take your time and put in the prep work the stuff looks great and holds up extremely well.

Thanks, I liked the design of the stock wheels but thought the two toned/machined finish made them look cheap and detracted from the sport theme. The black looks so much better and really brings the factory theme together IMO.

I'm usually not a fan of gratuitous mods, but those look fantastic! Well done.
Thank you. I like to keep my vehicles tastefully modified. I do plan on a leveling kit and likely some 34’s on another set of black or bronze 18” wheels come spring. I’ll keep these OEM wheels for winter.

Thanks for sharing. Do you mind sharing what your technique is for washing part of the prep work?
