Looking to put 33" AT tires on my SuperCrew Powerboost XLT.

Curious if anyone has already made the switch and if so:

-What tire did you choose?
-How much more noise is there compared to stock, and is it overly noticeable since the Powerboost is so quiet?
-What difference in MPG have you seen?

Thanks!

Thanks, that does have quite a bit of info, but not really specified to the powerboost and the noise level/mpg. At least that I saw. Read through about 15 pages and tried jumping through a handful more, do you recall anything that is related to this in the thread?

Thanks again!

2021 PB XLT 302A & 2021- PB Lariat 502A
My second 2021 PB 502A Lariat FX4 (leadfoot) - picked up Dec 3, 2021- no level kit 33.5's (285/60R20) General Grabber ATx's - love the tires, quiet on the pavement. Avg. 10.2l/100km (computer) with winter blend 87 Octane. I only have 350km on the truck so, I am still feeling it out for mileage but love the ride and stance of the 33.5's.

My other 2021 PB 302A XLT (rapid red)- 2" level kit with 34's (295/60R20) Toyo AT3's that I have had since June 2021. love the tires, quiet on the pavement. Avg. 11.5l/100km (20.5mpg) all-round since ownership. The mpg was increasing as the truck was breaking in and I am seeing more on avg. 10.8-11l/100km (21-21.5MPG). The level kit does take an impact on MPG.

I have 1100 miles on factory Hankook 275/60r20 currently. Driving 70-80mph on highway averaging 20-21 mpg. On commute to office today averaging 40mph, I got 25 mpg.

I ordered LT285/60r20 Geolandar G015 that won't be installed for another week. I went with them for needing E rated for occasional 6k lb TT towing, wanted a slightly larger AT look, but will keep on road mostly. I'll let you know after getting them installed if any impact to sound/mileage/etc.

Those Toyo AT3's look perfect. I am going between those and the GO15's. The gas mileage definitely is not as effected as I thought it would be.

Please do!

And some before and after pics, these and the Toyo AT3's are the two that are on the top of my list right now.

Also what difference in road noise you get.

Looks fantastic! I am debating putting 285/60r20's on my powerboost as well. I will be using the venom rex vr601 rims with +12 mm offset - how close are you to rubbing with the 285's when you turn to the left and right hard? any chance you can check or post pics? thank you

Which do you think is quieter? The General Grabber ATx's or the Toyo AT3's?

Total toss up....but I give the Grabber ATx's a slight edge in noise over the AT3's at higher highway speeds.

I have plenty of room with the 285/60R20 Grabbers even with the splash guards. You could squeeze a true 34" tall tire but, I wouldn't go any wider than 11.6" or you will have rubbing issues with the inner fender with no lift and stock +44 offset rims.

If you want 33" on 20's, the Firestone Destination AT2 is a really good option. They look and ride good, weigh same as stock (42lbs), winter snowflake rated, and get the best rating for rolling resistance on consumer reports.

My neighbor put a set on his platinum. Working out well so far.

But if you want to go bigger or do rock crawling, you'll probably go with an LT rated tire. The Firestone is just a good no compromise tire that looks better and greatly improves traction.

Thanks, this is definitely one I am looking at. Appreciate the feedback though, did not know about the rolling resistance.
