I saw it too. Great news! The euro manufacturers are all ready to go with this. Of course Ford will continue to put crappy halogens in the lower trims, out of spite.

Saw that on Jalopnik today too. We have them active now in Canada, and they are amazing. I'm scared of the day they could break and what that would cost, but in the meantime I'm very impressed with them. Super bright, and you can see them adjusting as traffic approaches.

With a little FORScan work you can have them today if you have the projector LED headlights. I’ve been running them for about a month on my Tremor and I agree they are amazing compared to the medieval auto high beams the US trucks have default

Can you share the details of what to do in FORScan?

Mine go through some sort of calibration every time I start the truck. They go left, right, up, down and then settle.

i thought adaptive headlights have been available on some vehicles in the United States??
The full function “Glare free” high beams have not been approved in the US yet. The hardware is there on many vehicles but it’s neutered to a simple off and on high beam for the US market. Old laws not keeping pace with current technology. The glare free adaptive diving beams are a much more advanced and safer system. You won’t want to go back once you try it.

But for example i seen some Subaru’s that adjust left or right as your driving down the road? Like straight off the dealership lot with no modifications.

The F150 Adaptive headlights move left and right as you steer, but the anti glare is disabled in the U.S.

This Ford Europe video gives a highlevel overview of the difference we are discussing. It all relates to the high beam operation.

I gave this a shot tonight and I’m getting a “check headlamp system” message now. The glare free function does seem to be working though.

The error pops up right after the lights go through their startup sequence.

What truck trim do you have? and do you have one or both CCD / Scales or nether?

The check headlamp from my experience is from the CRC code in: 734-01-04

You probably have a DTC in HCM for incorrect config or something similar right now. It doesn't appear to affect operation, but will give the annoying popup.

Have have as-builts for several different trims so I can try and help solve that warning for you.

Awesome, I have a King Ranch 3.5 EB. I don’t have the scales or CCD. They weren’t available when my truck was built.
