Wow! The HDPP increase to payload capacity is really significant when compared to the usual 1400-1800 pounds we’ve been seeing.

Yes, it is impressive. But please take it with a necessary grain of salt as this is a very lightly optioned XL.

I was thinking that, your should still be able to get roughly a 1/4 to a 1/2 ton extra out of the package.

What all extra does it do to the truck to make it handle the extra weight?

Looks to be a 2wd. That also aids payload #. I'm strongly considering a similar unit w 4wd. No real advantage going w only other trim option low/mid xlt with exception of power drivers seat. I can add that w dealer and skip chrome. Any pics of actual truck? I've seen one to date and those 265s look small. 1st move lose the shipping tires and add 275/70R 18s.

4x4 on those particular wheels (HDPP) will be 275/65r-18

My build sheet shows 275/65 4x4 Super Cab 8' box XLT
I will not be a happy camper if it shows up with something else.
The dealer already forgot one important option--don't need this screwed up as well.

Order guide only lists LT265/70R18. Even tire rack when u choose 21 hdpp only lists 265. I wasn't too worried as I always lose shipping tires, would upgrade to LT275/70R18s. Would look better and I get the tire I really want.

They may have updated or changed the new order guide, but everything I have seen shows the bigger tires on the 4x4.
My build sheet shows 275/65.
Keep in mind, I did not order the HDPP package, just ordered the wheels.
The narrower taller tire may be required for the HDPP package. ( taller skinnier tires will have a higher load rating)

I just ordered the wheels as I wanted something different than standard XLT, but nothing too fancy—-dogs will be peeing on them anyway.

I though a few more hdpp payload #s would roll in by now. Preferably 4wd and 3.5L EB. Hard to find at dealers too.

Depaula Ford in Albany, NY has two in stock.. I've asked for the payload stickers to confirm the numbers.
