This is a new video with a good view of the chassis of the Powerboost, a good view of the actual speakers in the B&O sound system. Also some test driving with a load.

I like how it shows how the speakers on the upgraded B&O system are in the headrest.

another one with comparison driving

Nice. I’m a bit of an audiophile and I don’t think I would want speakers in the headrests. Hopefully they have a way to turn them off, but I did not opt to get them anyways.

I hear ya but when I listened to it at the event in Atlanta, it was amazing. You were surronded with music coming from all directions and no one direction over powered the other. Best auto audio system I have ever listened too and I had some after market systems in my previous cars.

Totally agree with you Bob. My wife is demanding on audio quality, glad I ordered the upgraded B&O

I consider myself a bit of an audiophile as well. I thought the headrest mounted speakers would be gimmicky, and not do much to enhance the sound.

The Nissan Kicks attempted a similar feature with their Bose headrest mounted speakers. However, those were side firing and in my humble opinion actually hindered the audio experience. They sounded very subpar, and had a lot of distortion at high volumes.

The one's on the F-150's Bang and Olufsen Unleashed system are forward facing combined with a speaker firing downward from the headliner (both driver and passenger side).

I definitely agree with CurryBob! I cranked multiple genres (rock, county, indie, techno) pretty hard on the Unleashed system, and I was impressed. The headrest speakers were not overbearing to me, and it seemed like they were barely audible. It was a very full and immersive sound in my opinion.

I did go pretty deep into the audio/sound settings in Sync4 and adjusted the sound for my preference, and I did not see any way to disable any of the system's speakers. Let me know if you have any other questions about the audio settings, and I can try to explain further!

One thing that kind of surprised me, the simple equalizer it had, just the low, mid, high. That thing should have had a 12 frequency eq. Unless I missed it that was all I saw. Didn't effect the sound though, so I'll be a happy camper.

Yes, it was fairly basic for the amount of speakers and the apparent quality of the sound. Still sounded good, but I did want some more adjustments too.

I did not, I could have but was in information overload. I had my list and was working down it. Lol

Oh wow! That is very surprising to not have a custom eq... I *mostly* use my phone for music and I have eq on my phone, and when I switch to Sirius on the sync, it is very noticeable that it isn't tuned. I would have really thought they would let audiophiles have way more control of the sound. I want the sync to do the eq so that it applies to all sources.
